Cold/Wet Weather Gear/3 Day Assault Pack

I used both the Otte Gear Patrol Parka and the Alpine Trouser to do a stalk in the desert recently. Both held up fantastic, were comfortable, and functional. The use of velcro on pockets in tactical equipment is a huge mistake, and should be discontinued 100% for true tactical application.

Mystery Ranch is the brainchild of former Dana Designs owner. He has developed a fantastic range of products for MIL/LE applications. For sniper school I used the 3 Day Assault Pack. In general it is an excellent design, but is use specific, and wasn’t totally suited to sniping. I had it built up to top of the line spec with a special system for carry with body armor. I need more time testing this pack in different environments.
